結局オンラインゲーム市場という奴は，生き残った大手ポータルに居着いた，60万人ぐらいの課金してくれるプレイヤーをぐるぐる回し合っているだけの市場になりつつある。客観的に見て，これはとてもヤバイ状況だ。
　とにかく新規の顧客がいないので，お金を払ってくれるコアでヘビーなユーザー，すなわち「廃人」プレイヤーをとにかく引っ張り込める仕掛けを用意するほかに，ゲームを採算ベースに乗せるための方法がなくなっている，それがオンラインゲーム業界のここ数年の問題なのである。
